A small pond for water play, fishing and chatting on the shore. Bring kayaks, paddleboards, tubes and floats. We have a reserved pavilion plus small snacks — lunch is provided.
A relaxed in-between for cousins to gather over Japanese-style small plates and handrolls at Under Wraps in Pleasant Grove. Drinks are generously sponsored by Phi Health — so come thirsty, come curious, and catch up before the night games begin.
Finish the night with something sweet and a little friendly competition — Frisbee golf, corn hole, 9-square, spike ball, bocce. Meet in front of Brandon & Debbie's home, then walk to Beacon Hill Park (5959 W. Beacon Hill Blvd) eight houses south. Brandon has loaner discs, disc lights and glow necklaces. Non-players are very welcome.
Hosted by Scott & Natalie Paul at their Japanese-style onsen in Midway — two barrel saunas, a cold bath and a mineral hot bath, followed by lunch at the barn. Registration is on Luma so they have a headcount.
Swimsuit, towel and a change of clothes recommended.
A quick 30-minute stroll through the trees with a big waterfall waiting at the end — nature's reward for putting on hiking shoes. Only half a mile, so your legs won't hate you tomorrow. Bring water, a camera, and maybe a snack to celebrate at the falls. Totally optional, but the waterfall is pretty great at saying 'thanks for showing up.'
